The Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, made a very bold statement in a recent interview. He stated that the Aam Aadmi Party will win 70 seats if he contests from behind bars. He said the public can't be fooled, and they see everything. If I'm in jail during the next assembly elections, AAP will clinch all the seats in Delhi. Arvind Kejriwal further emphasized, "Put all our MLAs in jail and let the voting take place in Delhi. Do they think people are fools? The people see everything."

Arvind Kejriwal stated that he did not resign from the post of Chief Minister of Delhi even after being in jail because that is exactly what Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants. He said, "This is what Modi Ji wants. He knows he can't defeat me in Delhi, and hence this whole conspiracy has been hatched. If I resign, the next target will be Mamata Banerjee in Bengal, Pinarayi Vijayan in Kerala, MK Stalin in Tamil Nadu, and so on. They (the BJP) want to arrest opposition leaders and shut down their governments."
